The Girl Scout Greenhouse is Complete!

CREW East Bay was presented with a wonderful opportunity last year. The Girl Scout troop at Holbrook Language Academy in Concord were working on their Bronze and Silver Awards by building a garden behind their school, nicknamed “The Secret Garden”. It was an amazing project, and the girls were very inspired to keep growing beautiful flowers and food for their community. To be able to grow more, they desperately wanted a greenhouse next to the garden. All they needed was a general contractor to volunteer to build the greenhouse. 

The Girl Scout Greenhouse is Complete! 

CREW East Bay was approached to help with this project. CREW gathered our members and decided to help build the greenhouse. Metcon agreed to project manage the development of the structure. CREW East Bay worked with Metcon and Deacon Construction to build and find donors to deliver the greenhouse. On December 3, 2022 the Girl scouts received their awards and the Greenhouse had its official ribbon cutting! We can’t wait to see the beautiful fruit and vegetables!
